Dr. Jennifer Fraser
Jennifer is an international expert on brain health and the impact of bullying on the brain. She travels the world lecturing and building programs for the betterment of each society she touches down in. Her unique story and approach within the world of bullying is unparalleled in its expertise and practicality.
Jennifer has a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Toronto. She was trained to take discourses out of their silos and put them into the arena to see if the conversation changes. When she put education, bullying, and brain science into the arena together, the conversation changed so significantly it fueled her most recent book The Bullied Brain. As an award-winning teacher of twenty years, she realized just how much brain science could improve teacher wellness and retention, as well as enhance learning experiences and outcomes for students.
Educating all those who work with children about their brains – the need for safety, the developmental stages, the way brains learn, the high-stakes for mental health – is Jennifer’s goal and mission. Educating children, youth, and young adults about their brains is a vital, empowering, and inspiring, and long-overdue intervention. Because brains have neuroplasticity – the ability to change and strengthen with evidence-based practices – children and youth who have suffered trauma and are at risk, can majorly benefit from educators informed by brain science.
As an award-winning educator and innovative strategist, Jennifer’s evidence-based approach, grounded in brain science, informs and protects leadership. Her intervention and training prevent public crisis and proactively establish a healthy, happy, high-performing environment. An environment that replaces bullying with equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Having experienced the broken system first-hand, Jennifer has developed a new framework for bringing organizations into the 21st century with science-informed practices.
Grounded in the extensive research that fuels her new book The Bullied Brain: Heal Your Scars and Restore Your Health, Jennifer brings a brain-fitness revolution to her clients. They learn to exit the normalized bullying paradigm and enter into a new brain-informed “neuroparadigm.”
